I put in my papers asking for an immediate release citing issues at home. I settled the notice period with the money Vikas had given me yesterday. They let me go faster than expected and I was very happy about it.
After all the formalities and handover to my deputy, I went straight to Vikas’s office to meet him as promised. He was shocked to see my condition. I explained everything and he genuinely sympathised.
I even reminded him about the sex but Vikas outrightly refused saying he was not an animal. He told me to take a few days and recover completely before joining him. I left from there thinking about the stark difference between him and Manju.
Next day was the weekend so took my medication and good rest and was ready for my new job from Monday morning. My dad sorted out the divorce arrangements quickly. Manju was behind bars for a few years.
By that time, I left Manju’s house with my son and moved into my own small house which I purchased with Vikas’s “pocket money” and a bank loan. From here there was no looking back in life. I enjoyed working for Vikas along with a beautiful sex filled life.
I even accompanied him on his tours as his secretary officially but we always had our naughty moments together by the side. Like the saying goes “when life closes a door, it also opens another one”.
