Khan is Dinesh’s boss and a very handsome well built man. He is over six feet tall and always dressed to perfection in a tux. Every time I come to these parties, he always makes it a point to meet and greet me along with his wife.
He held my hand kissing the backside of my palm gentleman style before sitting at my table. He playfully asked “so why is such a charming and ravishingly hot woman like you sitting alone and that too without a drink”? I replied in the same playful tone “because no one asked or offered me”.
Khan very seriously apologised saying “I am so sorry maam, what would you like to have”? I said “it’s okay Khan, you don’t have to be sorry. I would prefer a rum and coke with ice”. He quickly went to the bar counter and came back with my drink.
I said “you didn’t have to go Khan, we could have called a waiter”. He replied “well that would be gross injustice to a beautiful woman like you”. I said “you know this always happens. Nothing unusual about it”.
He said “which sane man would not want to have the pleasure to attend to such a gorgeous woman like you”. We laughed, then I said “my husband, who else”.
Khan said “sorry but I cannot stop myself from saying this, Dinesh is such an idiot to ignore you. He doesn’t know that he is one in a million lucky to have you maam”. I couldn’t help blushing when he said this.
I said “you know my name is Reena, so why are you still calling me maam”? Khan said “it would be very disrespectful to call the most hottest woman in today’s party by her name”.
I know Khan is from UK and posted here to head the countrywide business so British manners were obviously to the fore… We generally chit chatted a bit and one thing led to another. I asked “so where is your wife? I don’t see her here in this party”.
He replied “well you won’t see her ever again because she has gone back to UK for good”. I asked with genuine concern “I hope everything is fine between you two”? He replied in a sad tone “actually no, we are getting a divorce soon”.
